So, I'm going to do something I'm not prone to do: picture posting!!! I've been delving into photography ever since Charlotte was born and finally decided to get a new camera. I LOVE it!!! And I thought my friends and family might want to take a peak at my meager photography skills. Yesterday the camera came in, and in between playing with Charlotte and scrubbing the bathtub (my arms are still soar- I HATE soap scumb!), I played around with the settings on my camera.

I thought the roses in my garden would be a good place to practice.

After Charlotte woke from her ten second nap, she was rather grumpy, but I was dying to snap away...

You would not believe how hard it is to get a clear shot of batting hands!

Photobucket

MANY pictures came out blurry!

She finally gave up the go, and photo session ended long before I was ready. We spent the rest of the day cleaning bathrooms and making a tablecloth for my dining room.

Mike (PawPaw) and Mary (Nana) came over for a quick visit before dinner and of course I once agian started clicking away with the camera...in my PJs. Fortunately, my in-laws are great and forgive me when I don't get around to putting on something other than pj pants and worn out t-shirts.

I think Charlotte is starting to look a good bit like her Nana.

Charlotte loves hanging out with her Grandparents

Photobucket

She did get a little sleepy; probably because she was up at 4am yesterday!

Photobucket

She loves her Nana to pieces!

Whenever I look at pictures that I have taken of Charlotte, I have to laugh at how huge her cheeks are! To borrow from my brother's girlfriend Nadia, "She looks like a chipmunk storing nuts for winter."

Yesterday evening, Ben and I decided to polish off the oysters he had brought back from a fishing trip with my dad and brother. We ate outside on the back porch and enjoyed the last rays of the sun. Charlotte was a trooper and seemed to understand we needed a little time to enjoy the air. She watched the commotion of shucking oysters from her bouncer and occasionaly cracked a smile as Lilly ran around chasing bumble bees.

My wonderful husband did all the dirty work of shucking the oysters and let me sit back and enjoy the bounty.

I know many are disgusted by oysters, but for me, it was a perfect meal.

The corn wasn't the best I've had but it didn't stop me :)

Photobucket

Before I know it Charlotte will be asking me to pass the cocktail sauce...it all happens much too quickly.

Photobucket

For now, I'm trying to savor every moment, even the one's where she gets me up at 5am to start the day. That's why God invented:

LOVE IT! What kind of camera? So fun. Also, I bought that same coffee creamer. I have been doing just powder coffee-mate for awhile now, but I saw that and had to try it. I really like it!

I had to comment. The pictures are just wonderful. Charlotte is too adorable for words. Her eyes are beautiful. Thanks for posting all the pictures.

Great pictures, they all are so good. I am still trying to figure out the settings on my Nikon. I think I need a class to get out of auto settings..Ha! And I agree that creamer is awesome.

Ok, so the pictures are really amazing. You can definitely tell they were taken with a nice camera and by someone who knows what they are doing (my pictures are always horrible). But I have to say Ess, only a true foodie/food snob takes pictures of a corn cob that has been eaten on!!!!......I love it!

I love everything!!! Except the oysters. :) Love the new background, the photos (can I please have a copy of # 13 to frame?) and can't wait to try your flavor of creamer. I've never seen that one! At first I thought you were going to say that you took photos of your bathroom, which would be fine... just maybe not as cute as roses and babies. Haha!

The pictures are just adorable. I can't believe how fast our little darling is growing. Those eyelashes and eyes and, well everything about her is beautiful.
I agree with Dana, Pic. #13 is one of my favorites. Love you all, and keep those pictures coming.

Or #20 would work for me. :) They are both adorable!!

Thank you all for the kind comments! My camera is a Canon Rebel Ti1. Thus far, I have enjoyed it greatly...I still have A LOT to learn though! The coffee creamer is amazing, close second to peppermint mocha which I am now out of. Henry, yes I took a picture of an eaten corn cob, what I should have taken was a picture of is my teeth after I had eaten it! And my fav pic is the one of Mary and Charlotte looking at each other :)

I vote for #12...Where she's sitting on Mary's hip and looking right squarely at the camera...its on my computer screen at home...She's beautiful! All right, then my next fave is #3. I put that one on my computer screen at work. Its even cuter bigger! You ought to put her in baby commercials! I love these pics and the youtube vids. They brighten my day! Love y'all!
